I originally wanted to post the follow up to “Modeling for Industrial Design”, but I got caught up doing this instead. I’ve never done fashion design before but after speaking with Yen Nguyen about her 3D printed fashion ambitions, I got into the mindset and tried to design some techwear.
The challenges were; how to fit 3d printing into a clothing line that people would want, and how to integrate technology into clothing.
I wanted to design something that could be used as athleticswear when riding a bicycle (something I do often in the city), while at the same time being acceptable to wear all day at an office or to semi-casual meetings. I also tried to design something with an eye towards being gender-neutral.

Anyway, I hope I get the chance to do more in the future.
